In-line LED silica gel has been widely used in the optoelectronic industry, and it is favored by the majority of LED manufacturers due to its excellent performance. The application classification of LED silica gel in the optoelectronic industry can be divided into the following categories.


I. Application on LED lamp beads:


In the high-power LED, SMD LED lamp beads, the fixing of the chip, the mixing of phosphor powder on the white LED lamp beads, and the filling of the lens are all performed by Shan LED Silicone.


(1) LED silica gel for solid crystal: chip fixing is commonly known as solid crystal glue, and silver powder is often mixed to improve the thermal conductivity, so it is called solid crystal silver glue on the market.


(2) LED mixed phosphor silica gel: white light LED is uniformly covered with a layer of yellow phosphor on the surface of the blue LED chip. The blue light passes through the phosphor to achieve the white light effect. This requires the use of LED mixed phosphor silica gel.


(3) Surface filling LED silica gel: The purpose of the surface silica gel on the LED lamp bead is to protect the LED chip. Commonly used are high-power LED lens filling, lens molding, SMD flat packaging, coB large area non-standard packaging, etc. .


2. The application of in-line LED application products: LED application field is very broad, life lighting, traffic warning, aerospace technology, underground operations, etc. have been widely used. The purpose of LED silica gel used in LED application products is to protect the internal circuit of the product. Commonly used are black potting silica gel used for the protection of LED display PCB boards, and sealed potting silica gel used on LED lamps.


Fourth, the development of LED silicone market


Now the LED optoelectronic industry is developing rapidly, and the annual output is doubling several times. In the future, it will replace incandescent lamps as daily lighting, which is more energy-saving and environmentally friendly. Domestic chemical companies are not mature enough in R&D technologies and product positioning is not in place. At present, the LED silica gel produced in China has matured in low-end products.


LED silica gel is used to encapsulate the bowls and cups of the PLCC bracket, not only for high-power LEDs, but also for mainstream low-power LEDs such as 3020, 3528, 5050, 2908, and 3806. Because it can not only protect the light-emitting chip and gold wire, but also enhance the refraction to increase the brightness, mix the phosphor to adjust the color, and its thermal expansion coefficient is also relatively good, it is not easy to cause foot cracks during reflow soldering, and it is not afraid of IJV light. . It is by far the best in-line LED packaging glue. The price depends on the brand. There are big brands such as Shin-Etsu in Japan, Methu, and Dow Corning in the United States. Under normal circumstances, one component A and 500g each are mixed and used, and a group is generally around 8,000 yuan! If it is a professional LED packaging company, the amount is very considerable. The specific amount depends on the output of the company!
